don’t even get me started on the whole
northern and southern hemisphere issuewhen i was a kid i had trouble
with the concept of
time zones.i couldn’t wrap
my brain around how
someone in france
or mongolia was
experiencing the present
with me, but
had a different
“time” than i.and on my first
plane trip across a
time zone i
remember being
amazed and confounded
at how we could
arrive somewhere
at the same time we
originally left,
even though
it was, now, an
hour later.it was all so
confusing.even now,
having figured out
the intricacies
of time zones and
the finer points
of air travel,
i am still a little
amazed and awed
whenever i fly
and land in a place
with a different
time than
my own.it's one of the few
magical things still left
in my life.
